Week 9.....not a lot to report, which makes for a brief posting

Week 9 and putting pen to paper (or should I say typing on computer) not very easy. I had it all planned, I should have now completed the Great Daffodil Run and be sharing my experiences with you...but alas, it was not to be.

So what's new....well I now have a race calendar, here are the races I have entered for this year:
The Flitwick 10k (April 15th)
The Great Daffodil Run 10k (May 20th)
and finally the big one (and I'm not talking red noses)
The Colworth Marathon Challenge
(June 22nd, 23rd & 24th).

As the Daffodil Run has been postponed until May I had a burning desire to put in a race either at the end of March or the beginning of April.....and now thanks to the Flitwick 10k, I do. Only a couple of runs last week but now I will be concentrating on increasing my distance so that by April I should be comfortably running 6 miles. My running is all about stamina, I'm not really bothered about speed, all I really want to do is get from A to B without walking and as in the wise words shared with me by my father "where horse goes, donkey reach".........please don't dwell on this, I believe it's a West Indian thing.

Vibro training has stepped up a level, my last session included the use of weights, a medicine ball and doing actual push ups whilst my arms were being shaken out of their sockets. This felt like a major workout, I was sweating and Rachael who had come along to watch found it all very amusing.......I've had the opportunity to watch Rachael working out at one of her vibro sessions, her exercises look a lot more difficult, but I found the experience not amusing but quite arousing. So for Vibro training what can I say but "take me back to foundation level".

Finally....have I mentioned that I had hit my target weight, I'm now 12.5 stone and this is no fluke, I'm still 12.5 stone.

That's all for now and you've probably gathered that I lied about it being a short posting. There could be some interesting mid week news but for the moment I can't let the cat out of the bag.

Gordon, I love reading your blog, it always makes me smile. Although I am slightly concerned about the arousal bit!!! Watching me on the Vibro machine is more like a Renault ad, ‘shaking that arse’!! Your enthusiasm is fantastic, your drive and determination is inspiring. Watching the transformation from couch potato to fitness freak (forgive the freak bit) has been exciting, enjoyable, heart warming and makes me feel incredibly proud of you. Forget Denzel, the Gordon now emerging is more than I could ever wish for. Keep up the excellent work.
