It's another....mid week update

So here I am mid way through the week and having completed 2 runs at the new distance of 4 miles. I'll give you the update on how I've got on when I do my weekly round up on Monday. This posting is all about my new fitness session, Vibration Training.

Vibration training, providing the convenience of MacDonalds and a workout achieved in a fully fitted David Lloyd gym. I have joined a number of gyms in my time, paying a full year membership but only going for perhaps the first 2 months.......and why was this? it all comes down to time. I'd need to set aside an hour and a half for the gym and if I'd had a busy long day, I never found time to get there (I was so weak willed).

Now I've found vibration training (pause for fanfare) each session complimenting my running (cardiovascular workout.....how technical am I) and my diet (eating properly and not like a pig workout.....another technical term) I have a complete fitness program which should put all my goals in reach.

OK, my starting measurements (taken as a means of reference, before and after):
Chest = 105cm (41.3 inches), Stomach = 100cm (39.4 inches), Waist = 94cm (37 inches)
As you can see I have a stomach to contend with so this is where most of my vibro sessions are being focussed. Now there are pictures but at this stage I do not want to frighten anybody, maybe when I've finished my 10 sessions.

On to the session, very quick (as I said "it's only 10 minutes") but you do notice the muscles have been worked. The great thing is that you don't have that aching feeling the next day which is what I used to have when I did weights. Why is this......it was explained to me but I've forgotten, my next new year resolution will be to exercise my memory. What I did notice as the day went on was how peckish I was (I haven't felt like this for the last 2 weeks of my diet). I'd had a good lunch but continued to eat fruit (which is good for you, so not bad there) but as the evening came I helped myself to one of the kiddies fish fingers, half a dozen cocktail sausages, a small packet of peanuts and 5 crackers with butter. Oh my god, what happened here! Needless to say, I will be checking with my instructor at my next session (booked for tomorrow) to find out if this is a normal effect.

Watch the weigh in on Monday......could be interesting.

Gordon.....don't get too worried about 6 little cocktail sausages. There's nothing to them, Mate! Just keep thinking positively........focus on "I am a gazelle touched with fairy dust!" What an image that is conjuring up for me!I'm going to start concentrating on that one myself when I run....speaking of which, our paths still haven't crossed again since that moment along East Street early in the New Year. I'm still out there.....where are you? Anyway, Gordon, enough of the waffle, WELL DONE....KEEP IT UP...YOU'RE DOING FANTASTICALLY!
