So as publicised, I am now challenging the Men's Health writers in the Men's Health Readers vs. Writers Challenge. Having now received the details to their fitness and nutrition program I can now say "what was I thinking about when I entered". I have joined Olney Gym (a requirement of the program) and must now fit in 5 visits a week to work on building muscle and body toning. In addition to this I also have a nutrition program that requires me to eat 6 times a day.......is it possible to fit in that many meals a day?
Today has been the before photoshoot which I had thought would be a simple job of a man with a digital camera snapping a couple of pictures. Oh no, this was not the case....full blown studio shoot with make up artist. I quite liked the make up bit, Bea (that was the makeup artists name) said that I had lovely coloured skin. The next step was to bear my torso and have the photos taken, the photographer commented on how relaxed I was and that I looked very natural in front of the camera. Not sure when you'll get to see the pictures, but when I know I'll let you know.
Just having a good time......I had a great night out on Friday (it was kind of my last fling before the big challenge) great company, good food and lots of booze. This all resulted in a very late night (or should I say early morning) and me giving everyone a sneak preview of what to expect in the Men's Health before photo. An apology has been submitted to all those that had to experience the event and I hope the nightmares have now subsided.
How's the running....I'm now running 5.5 miles in record time (for me anyway), my last run clocking 53.39 minutes. I had been out for a shorter run earlier in the week on the advice of Rachael and found the gazelle in me....it was great.
So what next.....the vibro sessions have been put on hold whilst I concentrate on the gym visits. I will continue to run as I have my first race in April, the Flitwick 10k (see you there Paul Lewis). How this is all going to be scheduled into the week.......god knows.

You're a brave man or is that foolish man?
Good Luck with your attempt to become Mr Universe in 6 weeks!
