Week 12.......sorry for the late post, I must be getting busier.

So here we are 12 weeks on and my life is getting busier.....that is my work life. The knock on effect is finding time to fit in all the gym visits, plan when I can run and also make sure I have time for my family. Hey! don't panic, I'm a project manager, I can handle this......let's get organised.

Men's Health Challenge....I've finsihed a full week of gym sessions and I think my body is now over the shock factor as I don't ache as much. Don't get me wrong, when I've completed a session I know I've been working out but the next day my body is able to function as normal. It's proving hard to look forward to going to the gym five times a week and I am guilty of looking for excuses, but thanks to the support of Rachael, I haven't missed a session...........that was until today. Ths all came about because I only managed one run last week and to be absolutely honest I've missed running (I use to go out 3 times a week). So today I gave up the leg workout in favour of a 5 mile run which was great. Glorious weather, I'm out in my shorts and a t-shirt and manage to clock 46 minutes. It was so worth it I felt great and anyway, the after photo will only be of my top half. The after photoshoot is now planned for 24th April and I've been told that a professional studio has been hired (perhaps they'll be draping scantily clad ladies over me, all admiring my new found physique). I can't say I look very different at the moment from my before photo, but it has only been 2 weeks........lets hope I see some change soon, it would make all the effort worthwhile and I would probably be more positive about going to the gym.

Running......I've now received my number for the Flitwick 10k, so no backing out now. I'm also looking to achieve atleast 2 runs a week (one run for this week being completed today). I also need to get out there and find my audience, I'm missing the female recognition.

That's all for now, not very exciting I know but stick with it as I'm sure my entries will become more interesting as I progress through the Men's Health Challenge.

Hello Gym Gazelle! Sounds like you're still keeping up the good work....I agree with you, running outside is SO much more enjoyable than looking at the 4 walls of a gym. As you may or may not know, I have been out of the country for nearly 2 weeks. But I'm back now so hope that we can "bump" into each other when out for runs and I can give you some well deserved "female recognition". Take it easy, Janey x
