The Emberton Cow Man.........where is everyone???

So there I was, pitching up at 12:00 ready for the Emberton Cow Man triathlon on a wet and when I say wet I mean very wet day. I was ready for the ultimate challenge, I know the park so well, it's my local training ground and all had been checked and double checked. Can I swim....no!....can I ride a bike....yes, in a straight line!......can I run.....yes, well one out of three can't be bad!

Swim.....rubber ring and arm bands at the ready....CHECK!
Cycle.....stabalisers attached and balanced to perfection.....CHECK!
Run....the easy part, trainers on and wearing my Only Runner vest....CHECK!

Time.....where was everyone, had I scared off the opposition.....race start 8:00am.....oooops!!!!!

Maybe next year then, for now I'll have to settle for the Daffodil Run (10k) a week today......at least I'm commited, I completed a 6 mile run in the pouring rain in 1hr 1min.

Well done to the Olney Runners Relay team (Jon, Brian and Duncan) for finishing in 2nd place.....sorry I wasn't there to cheer you on.

Catch up with you all next week when I report on the Daffodil Run.

Looking good mate! 12.0 stone!!?! That's brilliant work.

You're an inspiration - keep it going and even I may dust off the old running shoes.... ;-)
