It's been far too busy, a late meeting in London one day and then up early for a meeting in Manchester the next.......this can't be right.
So what's been happening, well I managed to get through the easter break without indulging in chocolate. This was not an easy task bearing in mind that I have 2 children receiving more than their fair share of easter eggs and a wife who has rekindled her chocoholic habit and has been feeding this habit on a regular basis. I stayed commited to my healthy life style even the point where I took my running gear to my parents so that I could go out for a run on Good Friday.....and I did, 5 miles. I also managed to complete 6 miles on the Sunday clocking a time of 1hr 2 mins and was honoured to find myself in the company of the Mayor of Olney on this glorious morning (he's in training for the London Marathon).
The Flitwick 10k is on Sunday at 11:00am and I believe I'm ready for it. I will be out for a short run tomorrow morning just to prepare myself for the race......dust off any cobwebs and wake up the running legs.
This week has been really difficult to maintain a routine as I've been so busy at work. My eating habits have suffered, not to the point where I'm eating the wrong things but not eating as much as I am supposed to eat according to the dietary plan provided by Men's Health. Getting to the gym has also proved difficult but I'm managing to complete all the scheduled workouts just on different days. The weight is still dropping, I wieghed in at 12st 2lbs this morning.......I could actually hit my suggested BMI weight of 12st. in the next week or so.
That's all for now but I'll give you the run down on the Flitwick 10k on Monday.
