Does work get in the way of training?

It certainly has this week, new project assignments have meant time away from home and when at home work to complete......a normal life style you say, but who wants normal when you're in training for a marathon!

No real distance runs this week, which is a shame because you get a real sense of satisfaction when you can say things like "just finished a 13 mile run and feeling good".

But all is not lost, unlimited vibro for the month has meant 4 sessions for the week and the Park Run completed yesterday in MK (Willen Lake) although not a new PB was definitely a pleasing race. Thought I was on for a PB hitting the 3 mile mark at 22:23 but alas my final effort was not strong enough and finished the race in 23:17 (current PB 23:10).

Added a new widget to my blog page, it displays my last run as recored on Daily Mile and details my a total distance for the week, year and since I started using the site to record my activities.

It's all about distance next week, looking to do a 15 mile long steady run and potentially an 8 miler mid week...work load permitting!
