Sorry to all my readers, it's another late post or maybe not if I call it my mid week post in which case I can retract my apology. This will be brief as I am suffering from writers block.......or to put it another way, there's nothing really interesting happening at the moment.
I've now completed 3 weeks of the Men's Health Challenge and have received an email from the editor congratulating me on getting to this stage and suggesting that I may want to step up my efforts in readiness for the after photo. This unfortunately is a bit of a pain as I am looking at my body (not something that I do on a regular basis) and thinking, I can't see much change from 3 weeks ago. Needless to say, I am stepping up the effort although I have found that if I breathe in, I do look better (this will be my plan 'B' at the photoshoot if all else fails, don't tell the editor).
Running.....is good, I had 2 good runs last week with my Sunday run getting me back to 5.5 miles in 55.02 minutes. Missing the gym leg workout that week has proved to be quite rewarding, so much so that I missed it again this week in preference of a 5 mile run completed in 44.41 minutes. This may be my plan for preparing for the Flitwick 10k, miss the gym leg workout and keep up the running.
Diet....bit of a piggy weekend, indulged in a Kentucky on Friday (for lunch and dinner) and then had a chinese takeaway on Saturday night. The good news is that although I had this moment of madness I've still managed to lose weight, I'm now weighing in at 78.5kg (12st 5lbs).

Hi Gordon!
I think you are doing brilliantly! I hardly recognised you when I bumped into you in the playground a few weeks back - and that was before the gym sessions started! Keep it up - you're an inspiration to us all!
